Balsam Fir & Birch Tar

Balsam fir needle distilled in Quebec, cut with a few drops of birch tar — the same stuff that gives a canoe hull its smell. Sharp and green on the first lather, smoky and dry on the finish. Cured six weeks on cedar racks.

Ingredients

Saponified olive, coconut and sustainably-sourced palm oils, shea butter, kaolin clay, balsam fir needle oil, birch tar oil, activated charcoal.

Made in small batches in Northern Ontario. Cured, cut and packed by hand.
